'Field progressed to the next round of the Surrey County cup on Sunday thanks to two goals from the excellent Jamie Folley, one from Sam Lewiston and also an own goal. A feature of 'Fields play throughout was their passing with both Mark Robson and Michael Robson at the centre of many good moves. The home keeper made two good saves early on but was helpless when Lewiston slid in to open the scoring. Ross Melinn then made a fine last ditch tackle to prevent a equaliser before 'Field scored the second, it was an own goal but was the result of fine work by Joe Byrne, his initial right foot cross was blocked but a defender was only able to deflect the ball passed his own keeper when Byrne wipped the ball into the danger area with his left. Folley who had been in fine form all game was then swapped sides and cashed in scoring two further goals that rewarded his strong performance. Whyteleafe's goal came from the penalty spot after a hand ball. Squad: Scott Pinnells, Joe Byrne, Ross Melinn, Steve Buckland, Max Galbraith, Jamie Folley, Michael Robson, Mark Robson, James Kealy, Jamie Locke, Sam Lewiston. Subs: Ryan King,David Shutt,Chris Pestle, Nick Worsley.

Westfield’s new under 15 team started very promisingly at the Halliford colts tournament reaching the semi-finals in their very first outing together. In a tough group including Ashford Town, Sheen Lions, Feltham and Halliford they came through in runners up possition conceeding only one goal. The ¼ final was a clash with AFC Ewell who had topped their group winning 3 and drawing 1. ‘Field played some excellent passing football and in their best performance of the day won 1-0 the great all round team performance was capped by a fine goal from Sam Lewiston to win the game, he cut inside a defender and fired low and hard into the bottom corner. The semi-final saw the new team put up a valiant effort against a very strong West Middlesex side including two boys on Watford’s books, they lost 0-2 with a late 2nd West Mid goal flattering the scoreline but it did not take the gloss off a very promising first outing together.
