Goals from Jamie Folley and Jamie Locke in the final game of the season saw ‘Field preserve their unbeaten record in the league. It was an exciting and open affair against a spirited Woking Town side who were in search of a win that would give them the runners up spot. Woking gave it everything and had three good chances early on, but on each occasion failed to test the Scott Pinnells in the home goal. ‘Field also had several good chances and midway through the half went in front, Folley was brought down in the box after a surging run, he brushed himself down and confidently stepped up to despatch the resulting spot kick. The second half was much the same as the first as both sides went forward in search of goals, Max Galbraith in particular was having an excellent game for ‘Field. The second goal came after great work by James Kealy down the left, he beat two men and cut the ball back to Locke who did really well to hold his man off and smash the ball home. Woking were in no mood to give up and it took a brilliant goal line clearance from Chrissie Pestle to preserve ‘Field’s two goal advantage. Woking did deservedly pull a goal back near the end but were unable to force an equaliser. Squad: Liam Stone, Ross Melinn, Steve Buckland, David Shutt, Joe Byrne, Jamie Folley, Mark Robson, Max Galbraith, Jamie Locke, Mike Robson , Sam Lewiston, James Jarman, Scott Pinnells, James Kealy, Chris Pestle, Nick Worsley.

'Field League Champions

Oakway Sports 2 Westfield Youth 5 'Field’s U15’s got the three points they needed to secure the title on Sunday with an excellent team performance and win against an Oakway side who have been in great form recently. The win also kept ‘Field unbeaten in the league this campaign with only two matches remaining. ‘Field’s goals came from Jamie Folley and Sam Lewiston who got two goals apiece and Scotty Pinnells. The match was played on a small rough pitch and against very competitive opposition but 'Field still managed to get their passing game going, the midfield of Mark Robson, Max Galbraith, Folley and James Kealy at the centre of many good moves. Early on Oakway had been causing problems with long balls to their pacey forwards and it was them who drew first blood, a push in the box resulted in a penalty, which was duly despatched. ‘Field showed good character and a flowing move resulted in Sam Lewiston running through and finishing well. ‘Field then went in front, Jamie Locke pressured the home keeper and Folley’s corner flew directly in. Just prior to half time Oakway showed their intentions as they brought themselves level with a free kick from the edge of the box. ‘Field came out even more determined in the second half and now with the win at their backs Dave Shutt, Joe Byrne and Chrissie Pestle looked very solid at the back. It was no supprise when the lead was restored after a great turn and through ball from Galbraith was finished in style by Lewiston. Next Folley who was having his best game for a while got his second and ‘Field’s fourth bursting through and finishing well after good set up work from Pinnells, he then returned the favour as he set up Pinnells to score the fifth and clincher and perhaps flatter the score line a little. Squad: Liam Stone, Ross Melinn, David Shutt, Chris Pestle, Jamie Folley, Mark Robson, Max Galbraith, James Kealy, Jamie Locke, Nick Worsley, Sam Lewiston. Subs: Scott Pinnells, Joe Byrne, Steve Buckland,.

The honours were shared in a really competitive game on a small hard pitch between two very committed sides. The first half was mainly dominated by ‘Field and they deservedly went in front when Jamie Locke’s set up was finished in style by Sam Lewiston who had a great first half. Early in the second half a deep a Woking corner was met with an excellent header at the far post to give them an equaliser that had not previously looked likely, after that try as they might ‘Field could not make their usual passing football pay on the tight pitch. They still created several chances that should have won them the match but a combination of Woking keeper making a couple of good saves and some dogged defending made sure it was not to be and Woking’s hard work was rewarded with a hard fought point. Team: Pinnells, Byrne, Buckland, Melinn, Pestle, Galbraith, Shutt, Mike Robson, Folley, Lewiston, Locke. Subs: Jarman, Worsley, Robson,

Goals from Sam Lewiston 6, Nick Worsley 4, Jamie Locke 2, Steve Buckland, Dave Shutt, Mike Robson & Joe Byrne gave ‘Field a comfortable win on Sunday. The score was 4-0 at half time with 12 more goals coming in the second half against unfortunate ‘Park who have been beaten heavily in most games this season and would appear to be in the wrong division. Credit though must go to Park for their attitude they were a friendly bunch and though outclassed were very sporting through out, never moaning or resorting to kicking. Team: Pinnells, Jarman, Buckland, Melinn, Pestle, Worsley, Mark Robson, Mike Robson, Galbraith, Lewiston, Locke. Subs: Kealy, Shutt, Byrne.

’Field recorded a comfortable victory in this game without ever playing their usual passing game. Sam Lewiston opened the scoring meeting Jamie Folley’s cross at the far post and Folley himself rather fortunately made it two when his soft shot went through the keeper’s legs. Joe Byrne headed the third from a corner but just before half time Sutton gained rewarded for their effort as they struck home a fine free kick from the edge of the box to give them hope. The second half was not a pretty affair with too many passes going astray but Steve Buckland was having another really good game at the back which meant that Sutton were limited to minimal chances of a way back into the game. Near the end Nick Worsley headed forwards and found James Jarman in space, he expertly passed the ball home for the final goal. Team: Pinnells, Galbraith, Buckland, Melinn, Pestle, Worsley, Jarman, Mark Robson, Folley, Lewiston, Locke. Subs: Byrne, Kealy, King.
