Mite A Travel – Meet the Coach and Try-out Overview

 

 

Robert Matson, Mite A Travel Coach for the 2016-2017 season, will hold a “Meet the Coach” and Try-out overview information session for any interested parents on the following dates/times:
 
Ice House Sports Complex – Upstairs
- Tuesday, April 5th @ 5:45
- Wednesday, April 6th @ 5:15
 
The session will provide an opportunity for parents to meet the coach in person, ask questions, understand goals and expectations for next season, and provide an overview of the tryout process.

The STHA would like to congratulate former STHA and BCHSHA player Rich Botting on his great four years of hockey at SUNY Plattsburgh.
 
In addition, Botting received First Team All-American honors from the American Hockey Coaches Association.
 
Congratulations Rich, we are proud of everything you have accomplished!

The STHA would like to congratulate former STHA and BCHSHA player Nate Zweig on his commitment to play hockey for SUNY Potsdam in the fall of 2016.
 
After getting offers from several college teams Nate committed to his first choice, SUNY Potsdam. 
 
Below is the announcement from the Syracuse Stars USPHL Premier team regarding Nate’s commitment.

2015-2016 STHA AWARDS

 

THANK YOU, STHA Coaches and Sponsors, for the commitment, dedication, support and contributions you provided to the STHA and more importantly, the STHA Players.  

 

A special THANK YOU to the Binghamton Senators and Jack Sherman Toyota for the continued commitment, dedication, support and contributions you have provided to the STHA.  

 

The following awards were announced at the Sponsor's and Coaches Appreciation dinner held on Wednesday, March 16, 2016 at The Relief Pitcher:

  • Don Franck Award - Roy Wagner

Awarded to an individual that has served for ten or more years in the STHA as a board member, coach, sponsor, etc. Don Franck is one of the original founders of the STHA, which started at Quaker Lake. He played and coached in the STHA and also served on the Board.

  • Ramo Folli Award - Bill Cohen

Awarded to an individual that has served for five or more years in the STHA as a board member, coach, sponsor, etc. Ramo Folli was also instrumental in forming the STHA and worked in many capacities for the organization.

  • Cliff Hunter Award - Piero Lisio

Awarded to the Coach of the Year. This goes to a coach who exemplifies the true meaning of coaching in all aspects of the game. Coaching ability, team spirit, leadership, rapport with parents and players are all qualities of this recipient. Cliff Hunter was an exceptional coach in the STHA who exhibited all of the mentioned qualities of a coach for years in the STHA.

  • Special Service Awards - Awards for individuals that have provided contributions to the STHA during the season.
