Thanks to the Jets Varsity Coaching staff for their work with the Jets Varsity Squad during 2011. They got these players ready to play each and every week and got them back to the playoffs. We appreciate your hard work and dedication again this season. The Varsity staff consisted of Head Coach Steve Watkins and Assistants Dan Kohler and Art Clark. Thanks again!!

2010 Golden Jet Award

The 2010 Golden Jet award went to Nathan Scott for his Leadership, Pride, Dedication and Positive Football Attitude. Nathan has been a 6 year Jet. He played with the JV Squad from 2005 through 2008 and the last two seasons with the Jets Varisty where he has shown to be a great team leader.

Nathan also won the JV Coach's Award in 2007. Congratulations Nathan on your award, dedication and positive attitude!

Update: After playing Junior High football in the 8th grade, Nathan is a Sophmore on the Bucks 2013 Squad. He plays RB and DB and started last year and this. This season as a Varsity Running Back he picked up 269 yards on 36 carries.

2010 Iron Jet Award

The second Iron Jet Award went to Jaret Yohman for his Heart, Toughness, Intensity and Desire as a member of the Jets. Jaret has played with the Jets for the last 8 seasons. He began with the Jets Flag team during 2003-2005, then moved up to the Jets JV from 2006-2008 and has spent the last two seasons at the Varsity level. Congratulations on your award Jaret the Jets are proud of you!

Update: After playing in Junior High in the 8th grade, Jaret was a sophomore player with the Bucks during the 2013 Season.

The 2010 Jets Called It Swagger!

The Jets claimed their 2nd Varsity Championship on November 6th defeating the Jaguars 19-14 at Buckeye. It was the 3rd victory over the Jaguars this season and they kept their record perfect at 9-0! Coach Watkins has told his kids all through the season to play it one week at a time and maintain their swagger. It's not overconfidence or cockiness, it's that feeling that if the Jets do their jobs, play hard and stay focused they can play with and beat any other team. 

The Jets came off their bye week prepared and played steady all the way through the game finally getting the upperhand 19-14 in the waning minutes of the 4th quarter and after getting the ball back when the Jags score their 2nd touchdown they were able to run out the clock with less than 3 minutes left to claim their 2nd Varsity Championship in 4 tries. Congratulations to the Players, Coaches and Cheerleaders of the Varsity Jets on your 2010 Championship! Go Jets!!
