NCLL News Editor Opportunity for 2014 Season

The NCLL Board is currently is search of someone to take over the NCLL News Editor responsibilities for the 2013/2014 season.  Anyone interested in this great opportunity is encouraged to contact a member of the Board to apply.

NCLL Merchandise

Support your league in style!  Wear your spirit!  Everything from sweatshirts to t-shirts and hats.  NCLL gear is on sale at the Merchandise Tent througout the season.  Get yours while supplies last!

Snack Shack Volunteers
Thanks-in-advance to those who spend that extra time to make our Snackin' Shack a truly great place.  The Snack Shack is always looking for a few extra hands, especially on Saturdays.  If you can't get enough of working behind the counter, contact Kerri Redditt and she will be thrilled to sign you up.  NCLL thanks everyone for supporting the league through the Snack Shack.

Calling All Volunteers
The success of NCLL is only possible through the generosity of volunteers, the selfless parents and players who donate their time an energy to make the league a source of pride for our community.  We encourage you to do your part and step up to the plate.  Whether you have a few hours a month or all the time in the world, a little effort can make a big difference.  If you would like to find out where you can lend a hand, please contact Kristin Moore for more information.

Parking Reminder
As everyone knows, the parking situation at NCLL is no picnic.  The parking lot outside the gate is too small and the neighborhood streets are often too crowded to get a convenient spot.  Please note that parking is not allowed inside the gate, behind the snack shack.  City & state laws mandate that the area inside the gate behind the snack shack must remain clear to allow the passage of Emergency Vehicles in the event of an emergency.  NCLL Board members are allowed to park inside the gate as a courtesy.  Please park you car only in the designated areas outside the gate and do not park in the apartment's lot.

NCLL Sponsors
Part of the success of NCLL is possible only through the many generous sponsors who help defray operating costs of the league.  As a NCLL Sponsor, your gift to the league is 100% tax deductible, and a great way to demonstrate your community spirit to your business customers.  Please visit our Sponsorship Program page for more information about becoming a sponsor.

NCLL Post-Season Volunteers Needed

NCLL will be hosting several District 14 TOC (Tournament of Champions) and All-Star Tournament games over the next several weeks (see games hosted by NCLL below).  When hosting these games, District 14 requires leagues to have additional personnel on hand to make the games run smoothly.  We need your support to fill the following positions: Snack Shack, Tournament Directors, Game Announcers, Field Prep, Ball Chasers/Gophers.  Click here for a description of each position.

Please consider volunteering any amount of time you can to help support our league's hosting responsibilities.  Responsible teens would be ideal for most positions.  Any Board member will be happy to help complete the necessary paperwork for any student's volunteer hours.

Please e-mail Cole Casey & Bill Brown to volunteer for any position at one or more of the games listed below.  Your help and support is GREATLY appreciated.

California District 14 (Fremont-Newark) All-Star games originally scheduled for Tuesday, June 28 have been postponed due to rain.

Here is the updated schedule for games originally scheduled for today, June 28:

9-10 All-Stars -- NO GAMES SCHEDULED TODAY -- NO CHANGE

California District 14 will be sending a District representative to each game site on Wednesday, June 29 to check on playing conditions approximately one hour before game time. As part of their Player Safety Program, the District representative will make the determination if conditions are safe and whether the game should be played for the protection of the players on Wednesday, June 29. In the event any game cannot be played on June 29, below is the contingency plan developed by District 14:

In the 9/10 Tournament, if it rains on June 29, Games 9 (FALL vs NCLL #1 at Mattos Elementary School-CALL) and 10 (CNLL vs NALL #2 at Marshall Park-FALL) scheduled for June 29 will be played on June 30th, at the same fields.

In the Junior Tournament games 9 & 10, originally scheduled for June 28, will be played on June 29 at their same sites. If it rains on June 29th the games will be played on June 30th, played at their scheduled fields. If games 9 &10 are played on June 30th, Game 12 will be played on July 1st at the scheduled field.

Remember, these plans are ONLY in the event the District representative decides that, for SAFETY reasons, the field conditions are unsafe for players.

These decisions will determined within one hour of game time. However all teams should be prepared to play their scheduled game at their appointed game site. Please check the District 14 website for schedule updates.
