Once again our fall fundraiser is in full swing. In order to keep an organization as large as CYSL going it is necessary to hold fundraisers and we need everyone's cooperation, who opted to participate, in selling their Gift Check books. It requires much more money than we take in at registration to operate our program to maintain and repair the fields, to purchase equipment and uniforms, insurance, scholarships and much more. This is our 13th year of bringing Gift Checks to our community and this year it has been customized just for our league. There are many new merchants and over 162 valuable offers. This book sells for only $10 dollars and is worth so much more. We ask that every child in the league put out some effort to sell their six books and ask that each parent in the league to at least purchase one book for themselves. In it there is a coupon for $3 off your child's next soccer season. All players should have received their Gift Check books by now. If your child has not, please contact Denise Marine at 893-8350. There are many great awards available this year for the players who sell 6 or more books. If you need more books, please check with your team parent. In order to eligible to receive an award your child must turn in his or her coupon monies to their team parent prior to September 28th. Make all checks payable to CYSL and please, NO COINS. First game of the Fall 2005 season will be on Sept. 10th and run through Nov. 5th. Registration for Fall Soccer will be accepted for boys and girls ages 5-14 as of December 31, 2005. Registration fee for Fall will be $35 per player. All games are played at 20th Street Community Park. Registration will be accepted as long as space is available on a team in the appropriate age division. If no space is available the child is placed on a waiting list and may not be placed on a team until after the 1st or 2nd game. Those registering late (after August 1st) must elect not to participate in the fundraiser and pay an additional $25 per child (see the following paragraph). For more information contact the league at 894-1088. FEES AS OF AUG. 1st: $60 for each player. Participation in the fundraiser option has passed. All players must now opt for the buy-out. Every child that signs up during registration week will be guaranteed placement on a team. Those who sign up after registration week may be placed on a waiting list and not assigned to a team until after the first game. All new players will need to provide a copy of their birth certificate. * A registration form may be downloaded from the handouts section of this website. We need new sponsors, as well as renewing sponsors for the Spring 2006 season! If you or someone you know is interested in sponsoring a team, or as many teams as you like, please contact us. You can contact us by leaving a message on the CYSL message machine @ 894-1088, sending us a fax @ 894-8889, sending us an E-mail @ cyslchico@aol.com. Sponsoring CYSL teams is a great value for your advertising dollars. The team shirts with your name on the back, provides exposure for your business to people who might not otherwise notice or recognize your name. We also provide you with a Sponsor's Plaque featuring a picture of the team(s) that you sponsor, (one plaque for each team sponsored) that you may display at your business, showing your customers that you are committed to supporting the youth of your community. We are also excited to be able to list the CYSL Spring sponsors on our WEB SITE! We have a page devoted ENTIRELY to our sponsors! On our Sponsor's Page, we provide a separate listing for each sponsor. We show the viewers your Name, Street AND Mailing Addresses, Phone Number and Ext., Fax Number, Your Web Address, Your E-mail Address, Business Logo, and a Brief description of your business OR a Brief Message to the viewers. We also provide a Site Map to help people find your business' location much easier. Our new web site address will be given out to every family who registers a child to play soccer this season. This will be a large number of people who will take notice of your Sponsor's Information on our web site. That's great exposure for your business! Don't miss out on this great opportunity!! Build your business and support your community! Businesses or individuals may sponsor a team for $100. Your name will be printed on the back of the team jersey and you will receive a plaque with the teams picture at the end of the season. As one sponsor put it, "This is the cheapest advertising I could find. My business name is on the back of 15-18 youth running around the soccer fields for eight weeks". You can sponsor as many teams as you want, boys and girls, or by division. Ask about our new "Sponsor a Field" banners!

Games WILL be played in mild rain. In case of extreme weather conditions, radio station KPAY will announce the game cancellations between the hours of 8:00-10:00a.m. Rainouts will also be posted here on the web site. DO NOT call the league phone for cancellation messages. COACHES ONLY are to call the league phone for cancellation messages and then will relay the message to their players. Please DO NOT call the radio station. They will announce the cancellations periodically.
