Candy Information

Posted by Lynn Stephens at Jan 30, 2002 4:00PM PST ( 0 Comments )
This year we ordered much less candy as each year in the past we returned hundreds of cases and are charged for these returns. After adding additional teams we ended up with very few extras this year to pass out so here are my suggestions if you have a team needing more candy. Ask among your team members to see who is not selling their candy and to redistribute among yourselves. If you still need candy call your league commissioner to see if other teams in your division has extra. If you are a team with unsold candy please let your commissioner know so that it can be picked up and redistributed. If everyone helps with this we can hopefully avoid shipping back hundreds of cases of unsold candy and make this fundraiser a success. Thank-you.

Coaching Guidelines

Posted by Lynn Stephens at Sep 22, 2001 5:00PM PDT ( 0 Comments )
Chico Youth Soccer League feels that coaching emphasis should be placed on positive player image, good attitude and good sportsmanship. As the child progresses into the older divisions, more emphasis is placed on knowledge of the game and soccer skills. The league provides a coaches clinic prior to the beginning of each season to assist coaches in coaching techniques.

Coaches are not allowed to recruit players or hire trainers for their teams. All players must be invited to attend all practices by the team and players must play a minimum of half of each game no matter if practice was attended or not.

If coaches cannot abide by the rules of CYSL they will not be asked to return.
