HALF POINT// I AM NOT HAPPY

Posted by Paul Gio at May 2, 2010 5:00PM PDT ( 0 Comments )

Last night was the half point. Taking our perfect record in 90 degree weather with our huge lineup, we played Hockessin with 12 guys, 1 sub. The guys that were there played Heroically, but could not muster any O and with a 89th minute goal dropped the game 2-0. Hockessin had 7 subs. While I understand that we may not make games, this is why it is important that you let me know up front if you can make a game. thank you!!!!!!!!! 2nd half of the season starts Sunday. Let's get back in our winning ways.

WHAT A NIGHT

FC went into YSC playoff night powering their old legs with a Nifty's milkshake. What a powerful Nifty shake it must have been as FC went on a roll. The oldest team by far, FC knocked off the top team and also the Cosmos who ended the season without losing a game. 4 straight wins by a team that had Calamity anchoring them and Stoney, Cropper and the Assassin leading the way. even elder players in their young 60's like O'Neill and Torch were awesome. However in the final four the old legs could not hold anymore and playing w/o Highlander and Superman really hurt and down FC went 5-2. A finish in the open of 3rd//24. El Presidente is proud of the lads. thanks for supporting Rose Tree and how about those power shakes from Nifty Fifty's baby!!!!!!!!!

ALL ALONE

#1 vs #2 in the derby tonight, proved to be FC's best night yet with a total team effort we dominated and took the derby 3-0 to be Kings of the table. Our success in this spring league has been consistent play and lots of effort by everyone. Great JOB!!!!

NOW WE HAVE A KEEPER

Posted by Paul Gio at Apr 6, 2010 5:00PM PDT ( 0 Comments )
FC has hit some light injuries. Playing w/o form keeper Calamity (shoulder) and Rooney (knee)  and O'Neill (bowling), FC was determined to end the regular season with a victory. Iy needed heroes. Up steps Mr.Hairdoooooo, Crop to mend the fences and out of professional retirement Ryan "I played in Germany" O'neill. The young O'Neill along with Highlander, and super HS coach Marty found the nets and Crop kept the clean sheet for a 3-0 victory. After the game Crop's hair was still in place. OLE baby OLE!!!!!!!!
