The Bears Will Be In Action Next Friday Night When They Host Bedford North Lawrence (5-4 In The Opening Round of Sectional23 Kickoff is at 7 PM.

The Varsity Football team traveled to Mt Vernon to take on the 4A 11th ranked Marauders. From the start of the game, Mt Vernon seemed to have the Golden Bears overmatched, but Luke Jackson punched the ball in for the Golden Bears. Eli Chappelow also hit Carson Linville for another touchdown, but this scoring proved to not be enough losing to the Marauders 13-57.

In the JV game, the Golden Bears a much tighter score. Trading scores back and forth, the Golden Bears only trailed by 4 points at halftime and held the Marauders scoreless in the 3rd quarter. But the Marauders broke through in the fourth quarter getting a couple pivotal touchdowns to end the game 28-18 in favor of Mt Vernon.

The Golden Bears are back in action next Friday and Saturday when the Varsity hosts Pendleton Heights for senior night and the JV team travels for their final contest on Saturday morning
