A's come out Blazing!!!!!

Posted by Greg James at Mar 27, 2004 4:00PM PST ( 0 Comments )
The season opener was a barn burner. Our team came out blazing and finished on top with a great team effort. Final score, A's 7 Diamondbacks 5. Josh Lewis was named player of the game and received the game ball for his outstanding play in field. He also came in to pitch the fifth and sixth innings striking out 4 batters to pick up the win. Both teams played hard in a back and forth battle and were evenly matched. The "rookies" came on strong as Layth got and RBI in the fifth and Felipe's heads up base running picked up an insurance run in the sixth. Braxton led the pitching arsenal with 4 strong innings, striking out 8 batters. He also had two hits including a triple. One fan was quoted as saying "It was one of the best played games he has seen in the minors in quite a while". Next up for the A's is the Giants on Tuesday, March 30th. Let's go A's..................
Who's planning on going to the Rivercats game?  I plan on going and will be purchasing Delta box seats.  These are on the first base side of the field and are good seats.  We can all sit together as a group.  You may purchase Home run hill seats also if you would rather sit on the grass behind right field.  Ticket orders must be in by April 3rd.  The flier I hande out has all the Info.  Angela is my neighbor and I can get her your orders if you want to turn them in to me.  We can wear our uniforms and participate in all the events for little league day.  Let me know ASAP if you are going to go.        Thanks,  Coach Greg

Uniforms?

Posted by Greg James at Feb 20, 2004 4:00PM PST ( 0 Comments )
Hat and jersey are provided by the league. They are dark green and gold. We will wear gray pants this year, with a belt. Green belt and solid, dark green socks. Undershirt is optional but recomended for the beginning of the season while it is cold. If you get one it should be gold/ yellow. Athletic supporters are required and I recommend all players wear cups at games and pratices. Best place I have found so far for selection is at Bases Loaded located inside the Arena Softball complex. I will be taking orders for team sweatshirts for those who are interested. This is not required but I do it every year as an extra for those who like them. Parents, brothers, sisters, and fans can also purchase them. More to follow on them.
