New Teams for 2005

Posted by Greg James at Feb 6, 2005 4:00PM PST ( 0 Comments )

New this year, we have decided to add some new teams.  In Majors, the Rockies and Mets will become the A's and Angels.  In the Minors, Farm, and T-ball the Mets and Rockies will be replaced with the Angels and Padres.  We wanted to have more local California teams so it would be easier to find team apparel.

Thank You A's.  This has been a wonderul year for me and I am very proud of all of you.  Throughout  the year you proved to be one of the toughest teams to beat and played with heart, class, and a love for the game.  You all improved so much and became a team that played TOGETHER.  Strangers became buddies, kids became ballplayers, and  lot of people were impressed with how you guys play the game.  Be  proud of yourselves and the things you have accomplished and I will see you all next year!!

Thank You, .....Sparkplug, Ghost, Wheels, Hoover, Stopper, Hitman, Phems, BallHawk, Big B, Jr, Zachy, and Lightning

Thank You,  ... All the families, team mom Jennifer, scorekeeper Karli, and the only Lakers fan I know, Coach Mac

Have a great Summer,

Coach Greg.................

A HOME RUN!!!!!!!!!!!

Posted by Greg James at May 17, 2004 5:00PM PDT ( 0 Comments )
The best game of the year so far even though we lost. We outplayed the undefeated Yankees only to lose it in the bottom of the 6th. We certainly gave them a scare with great fielding, hitting and pitching, showing all in attendance who was the better team this night. A few throwing errors led to costly unearned runs for the Yanks but we showed aggressiveness and willingness to make the correct throw. We would not just let runners have a base and 3 times had them picked off, but dropped the ball. We did throw out 2! The highlight of the game was the big blast by Braxton, a 3 run lazer over the left field fence!!!! It was unbelievable and very exciting to watch. I could not be any prouder of the way we continue to play the game the "right" way, earning every base, learning the fundamentals, and showing a greater understanding of the game than most teams at this level. Way to go Blazing A's, keep it up.......Game Ball, Big B of course!!
