Lakeland Varsity Boys Win Again

Lakeland Boys beat Midvalley 104-46. Cy Babcanec led the way with wins in the 100,200, and 400 while supplying a win as part of the 4x100 team with Matt Pidgeon, Tyler Schwartzstrauber, and Tyler Prudente. Pidgeon teamed with his brother Tommy, James Lewis and John Noldy to win the 4x800 and he teamed with Schwartzstrauber, Tommy Pidgeon and Jake Frazier to win the 4x400 relay while picking up and individual win in the 800. Noah Chup won the mile and Two mile for the Chiefs, Frazier picked up a win in the 110 hurdles and Stephen Liuzzo won the discus for the chiefs. Next up is Dunmore at Dunmore April 19.

Lakeland 80 - Holy Cross 70 : Corah Krantz tied school record at 10-6 in pole vault.double winner PV & 100 M Brooke Estadt had four wins Long Jump 17' 1" triple Jump 33' 1" High jump 4'10" 400 Meter Harding was double winner 300 h & 200 Makayla Marino Shot 35' 8" discus 106 double winner. Great race by the 1600 M relay team of krantz, Paull ,Beecrof, Longstreet

Varsity Boys Start Season at 1-0

Lakeland Boys beat Holy Cross 105-45. Cy Babcanec won the 400 and 200 and was on the winning 400 relay with Matt Pidgeon, Tyler Schwartzstrauber and Tyler Prudente. Pidgeon and Babcanec also teamed with Jerry Borosky and Logan Bednash to win the 4x400 and teamed with James Lewis, Tommy Pidgeon and John Noldy to win the 4x800. Bednash won the 110 hurdles and 300 hurdles, Prudente won the 100 for the Chiefs while Freshman Noah Chup took his first varsity win in the 800. In the field, Stephen Liuzzo took the win in the discus while newcomer Kevin Johnson took the win in the Shot Put. The Chiefs took control of the meet by taking every point in 5 consecutive events on the track from the 400 relay to the 200. Next up for the Chiefs is the undefeated Mid Valley Spartans on Wednesday.
