Varsity Boys Knock Out Unbeaten Carbondale

Lakeland varsity boys beat Carbondale 103-38. Lakeland got wins from Cy Babcanec (100,200,400), Garth Estadt (300 hurdles, Long jump, high jump), Nick Setta (800), Mike Arzie (1600, 3200) and swept the 4x100 (Tyler Paulino, Joe Pidgeon, Tyler Schwartzstrauber, Matt Pidgeon), 4x400 (Babcanec, Matt Pidgeon, Logan Bednash, Setta) and 4x800 (Sam Morgan, Dylan Koveleski, Setta, Paulino) relays. Next up Lackawanna Trail on Thursday.

Varsity Boys Slam Riverside

Lakeland boys varsity team beat Riverside 103-43. Garth Estadt led the way with 4 wins (300 hurdles, long jump, high jump, triple jump). Caleb Morgan (110 hurdles, Pole Vault) and Mike Arzie (1600, 3200) pitched in with 2 wins each and Cy Babcanec added a win in the 800. Lakeland again swept the 4x1 (Tyler Paulino, Joe Pidgeon, Tyler Schwartzstrauber,Matt Pidgeon), 4x400 (Collin Cooper, M. Pidgeon, Nick Setta, Babcanec) and 4x800 (Sam Morgan, Dylan Kovaleski, Setta, Babcanec) relays. Next up Ice Breaker Relays at Wallenpaupack Area High School. Events start at 9;30, bus leaves at 7:30.

Varsity Boys Improve to 2-0

Lakeland varsity boys track and field team beat Holy Cross 107.5 to 38.5. The Chiefs were led by seniors Collin Cooper(100,200,400) and Garth Estadt (300 hurdles, high jump, long jump) who each picked up 3 individual wins and were part of the winning 4x400 meter relay with CY Babcanec who won the 800 and Matt Pidgeon. Other winners were Mike Arzie (1600, 3200), Caleb Morgan (110 hurdles), and Stephen Liuzzo (Shot Put, discus). Lakeland also won the 4x100 (Tyler Paulino, Joe Pidgeon, Tyler Schwartzstrauber,Matt Pidgeon) and the 4x800 (Nick Setta, John Noldy, Sam Morgan, Babcanec). Next up, Riverside vikings.
