St. John's Prep, Raiders Play to a Draw

On Monday, September 11 the Raiders traveled to The Prep for a 3:30 matchup with the high flying Eagles. Last year the two teams tied 2-2 early in the season. This year was no different as the two played to a 0-0 draw.
John McGinness was outstanding in goal turning aside 15 shots for his first varsity shutout. The defense was solid for the Raiders as Justin Waitt took charge of his crew to shut down the Prep.
Central is now 1-0-1, while the Prep is 0-0-1. Central's next game is Thursday, Sept 14th at Chelmsford 7 PM. Direction are on the Site Directions button or you may get all directions at the Handouts site.

Central Catholic opened their 2000 season with a big win 2-1 over their Merrimack Valley Conference rival Andover on Thursday September 7 at 3:30 at Greater Lawrence Tech. Steve Perry scored both goals for the raiders as Jeff Gannon and Jason Rourke assisted. John McGinness got the win in net for the Raiders as he pushed aside 5 shots.
