Getting players to use the right bat size is important. Players showing up to the ball field with a bat either too small or too large does happen. A bat too light will not result in hits that the player is capable. bat too heavy will result in incorrect/poor mechanics. The Coaches Corner has tips for coaches and parents on how to size up a bat for their player(s).

They placed 2nd in the Cal Ripken area tournament and now are in the Cal Ripken State Championship game on Saturday. The also qualified for the Cal Ripken Regional tournament in CT in a few weeks.

No Litchfield baseball All Star team has ever won a State Championship so they are trying to make history. If you have some time on Saturday, please come and support the team and Litchfield baseball. The game is in South Nashua at Dube Field (65 Harris Rd) at 10 am.

Let Go Boys, let's win a Championship for Litchfield Baseball !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

U12 Litchfield All-Stars played a great game against U12 Roger Allen in the Londonderry Invitational. After going down 8-1, the U12 team rallied in the 4th inning to make up the deficit to 8-5, and into into an exciting baseball game.

The U12 players were getting into it during the game and smiling afterwards. There were many positive plays during the game, and a lot of player support for each other. Everyone was hitting against Roger Allen, nice fielding plays, and lots of smile for many memorable moments.

The U12 All-Star team last tournament game is this weekend in Maine.

The U11 All Stars defeated U11 Exeter, Wednesday (July 27) night. The loss was U11 Exeters first to a New Hampshire team ever.

The win puts the U11 Litchfield All Stars into the State Championship Game Saturday Morning (July 30) at 10:00

After the State Championship game, U11 Litchfield will keep it going and attend the regional tournament in Connecticut next weekend Aug 6 through 13.
