Déjà vu Andrew – Hustlers Take Two from Warriors
One of the defensive stars from the 2014 10U Hustler Championship season was third baseman Andrew McElwain. Andrew was an individual highlight reel, making all of the routine plays and frequently the difficult causing fans and opponents to shake their heads. Early in the 2015 season, Andrew flashed a penchant for running down fly balls during a batting practice and was hesitantly moved to centerfield where he’s been equally impressive. On Sunday, McElwain returned to his home of third base and as Yogi Berra once quipped, “it was déjà vu all over again.” Andrew made the routine and the difficult plays look easy as he accounted for six of the 18 outs in game two. He also delivered at the plate. The Hustlers rode the strong pitching of Marshall Mott and Nick DeLisi in game one for a 10-3 win and Justin Ropp and Matt Cunningham for an 8-5 victory in the nightcap. JT Sachar led the winners offensively in game one with a 3-3 performance. Tyler Prather, Mott and Joe Pippin each contributed 2-run singles. Dustin Isanogle had the other Hustler hit. The Hustlers collected 10 hits in the second game and the star was McElwain who doubled, tripled and drove in a run. Mott also had two hits and an RBI to complete a strong 3-5 day. Prather, Ryan Bennett, and Pippin each contributed RBI singles. Sachar, Ropp and Isanogle also singled. Sachar added a walk to go with a line drive out to deep right to complete a 4-5 day. Isanogle also walked to reach base safely three out of six plate appearances on the day. Bennett made several key running grabs in left field, and DeLisi and Isanogle provided solid efforts behind the plate.
The Hustlers are back in action Thursday evening at home – the Yellow Springs baseball complex at 5:30pm.

Hustlers Earn Split in Sunday Round-Robin
The Frederick Hustlers locked horns with two quality opponents on Sunday and came away with a split – losing the opener 12-7 to the Keystone Bombers (PA) and taking the nightcap 10-5 against PG Select BlueSox. The Hustlers found themselves in a great 3-3 game heading into the last inning when the Bombers exploded for nine runs. The Hustlers did not go quietly in the bottom half scoring four runs of their own. Marshall Mott was effective on the mound holding the solid hitting Bombers to two runs in four innings. Mott had three strikeouts. JT Sachar, Tyler Prather and Matt Cunningham led the Hustler 9-hit attack with two each. Sachar doubled and scored two runs while Cunningham hit a mammoth home run to deep left center. Nick DeLisi and Andrew McElwain doubled and Ryan Bennett singled in a losing effort.
The PG Select BlueSox beat the Keystone Bombers in the middle game 8-7 when Jasiah Harris belted two home runs. The Hustlers then bounced back and beat the BlueSox 10-5. Nick DeLisi was solid toeing the rubber; he pitched four innings and surrendered only five runs. Prather pitched well in relief throwing two scoreless. In the meantime, the Hustler bats woke up and created havoc. The Hustlers scored five runs in the first behind four hits, a SAC fly and two walks. DeLisi, Justin Ropp, Mott, and Joe Pippin had the big hits. Mott and Jared Struss each had two hits while DeLisi doubled and Sachar, Ropp, Cunningham, Pippin, and Dustin Isanogle had one a piece.
