Congratulations Chatham Novice Medalist

Congratulations Dual Wrestlers

Congratulations to our dual team, which finished 5th (just .5 points out of 4th) in perhaps the most competitive ever Fair Lawn Cutter Classic Tournament, which included 17 area teams.  Yesterday's medalists include:

Nick Saglimbeni - 2nd place
Joe Tavoso - Champion
Kyle Inlander - 4th place
David Caiafa - 2nd place
Ethan Timmerman - 2nd place

This Week
Regular Ridgewood practice

  • Monday  6:30-7:45 and 7:45-9:15

 Dual meet at Park Ridge (dual team only)

  • Tuesday Night.  Speak to Coach Tavoso for details.
  • Location and directions are on the league web-site: www.pcywl.org. -- West Ridge Elementary School.


Next week:

  • We may schedule some voluntary practices for next week. We'll post information later when the times have been decided.

Folks:

The next couple of weeks, leading to the holidays, we have a very busy wrestling schedule and we know our families all have busy schedules themselves.  To help you make your plans, here is our complete schedule for the next couple of weeks:

This Week
Regular Ridgewood practice

  • Monday and Tuesday, 6:30-7:45 and 7:45-9:15

 Dual meet verse Parsippany (dual team only)

  • Wednesday at 7:00.  Weigh-in at 6:15 at RHS

 Olympic practice

  • Thursday, 4:45-6:15 


Tournaments:    Sunday, Dec. 19th

  • Dual meet team -  Fair Lawn Cutter Classic
  • Novice Tournament  (1st and 2nd year wrestlers)   Chatham tournament.  Flyer is on our web side under the "Handouts" section, or at this link: Tournament Flyer

 NOTE:
The novice tournament is optional.  If you are not sure whether your son should wrestle, please talk to the coaches.  There will be another tournament on Sunday January 9th, so there is plenty of opportunity for wrestling.

Next week:

  • Monday - Normal practice (6:30 and 7:45)
    • Last regular practice before the holidays
  • Tuesday - Dual meet verse  Park Ridge
  • Wednesday - Olympic practice only

Note: Due to gym scheduling conflicts, our practice dates are changed this week.  

This week's practices:

Monday  12/13

  • Elementary School 6:30pm to 7:45pm
  • Middle School 7:45pm to 9:15pm

Tuesday 12/14

  • Elementary School 6:30pm to 7:45pm
  • Middle School 7:45pm to 9:15pm

Dual Meet

The dual team's opener is this Wednesday night, 6:30pm at RHS Gym 2.  If you are not on the dual team, you are invited to come lend your support in the bleachers -- and see for yourself what the dual format is all about.
