Dear Force Parents,

We have finalized our practice schedule for the month of October for the VFW Tournament. We will not have practice this Friday 10/3 but will on the following two Friday's 10/10 & 10/17 going into the Tournament. We do have practice this Saturday 10/4 at Valencia HS from 1:30-3:00 p.m. in the Large gym. We will also have the same schedule for the other Saturday's 10/11 and 10/18 as this weekend.

We tried other options for practices but the gyms are very hard to get this month and we had to use what we could find so I apologize if this schedule conflicted with other activities.

Those that are working out at the Boys Club in Buena Park the day has been moved this week from Wed. to Thursday. I will confirm the time and will let everyone know.

Dear Force Parents,

We are going to move up our practice time this Saturday 9/27 from 1:30 to 1:00 p.m. the VFW Rebels are cancelling their time so we decided to move our practice from 1:00-3:00 p.m.

The court is available from 12:00 noon if you want to show up even earlier to get some free throw or shooting practice in before we start.

We have started to reserve gym time in the month of October and will be posted on the web. It's very hard these days to get additional time as gyms are at a premium. We will try to get the schedule out as early as possible but we will be having practice twice a week once we enter the month of October.

Dear Force Parents,

Since it's still September we will only have one practice this week on Saturday 9/27 at Valencia HS from 1:30-3:00 p.m.

 For those with nothing to do on Wed. nights you can come out to the Buena Park Boys Club from 6:30-8:00 p.m. for $10 and get a work-out from one of Jason's students Jose.

It's good for conditioning (running, shooting and dribbling) there is not much instruction so that's why it's good if you have nothing else to do and you want your son to get out and run for 90 minutes.

Dear Force Parents,

This is college move-in week for the older siblings of the "FORCE", because of this we will only practice on Saturday 9/20 at Valencia HS in the Large gym. The time will be from 1:30-3:00 p.m. This is our VFW Tournament time so we do not have to pay for this practice.

We would like to wish both Kaycee (Ty) and Suleen (Shaq) the best of luck at UCLA this year and also to Ryan (Reed) who will be heading up to UC Santa Barbara.

Next week we will be practicing on another day as well as Saturday the 27th.  It will be either a Friday or Monday depending on gym availability.

Also, please relay to Mary Lee which tournaments you can participate next year, she will gather all the information so we can see what our team would like to do. Here are the tournaments that you can either say, "Yes" or "No"

Dear Force Parents,

As we prepare for this years final tournament in October we wanted to give you some possible options that we may look into for the 2009 year.

This year the San Jose Ninja's are sending a 6th grade gold team to play in our VFW Tournament, it would be nice if we could get invited to their tournament next year. This tournament is one of the premier ones and only the best teams are invited to play. The dates are around 3/21 & 3/22 next year. The problem with this is that the SASF Tournament in Sacramento is held the week after 3/28 & 3/29. We have been invited already to this tournament to play in our own age group next year.

Down here in Southern California we will probably be playing in the WLA Tournament in April, maybe the 18th and 19th. Tigers Tournament 5/23-5/25, Hollywood Dodgers in Las Vegas in August and VFW Tournament in October.

The other two tournaments that we would consider is the Sacramento Barons Tournament held in Reno, Nevada on either the last week of September or first week of October and the Fresno Tournament held in the month of June, this tournament would be just for fun and we do not have to take the entire team to play.
