Tiger Shut Out Strake Jesuit, 6-0

Posted by Ron Holsey on Apr 04 2004 at 05:00PM PDT
Andy Dalton led the attack with 4 hits, including a three-run triple in the sixth, to back up the 3 hit shut-out pitching of Steven Boudreaux as the Katy JVA team bounced back from their only loss to beat Strake Jesuit 6-0 on Monday night. Dalton's triple was his second three-bagger of the night and came with the bases-loaded in the sixth to put the game out of reach. Boudreaux struck out 6, only walked one, and retired the last 10 batters of the game to seal the victory. Matt Glover added 3 singles to the 10 hit Tiger attack, while Cory Mitchell also contributed 2 hits as well as laying out for a diving catch of a line drive in left field for the defensive play of the game. The win moves the Tigers to 13-1 on the year and 5-1 in District. The Tigers are next in action at 6:00 on Thursday at Hastings. KHS 011 013 0 6 10 0 SJH 000 000 0 0 3 5
