The City of Leesburg and the Leesburg Junior Jackets have joined
forces to form one of the best organizations in Pop Warner. This
newly formed family will give the children of Leesburg and
surrounding cities a chance to play football and cheerlead. The
fundamentals and football strategies are taught as well as
conditioning for these future football stars. Cheerleaders are taught
the basics and given extra attention to fun as they learn dance
routines. The coaches involved are very dedicated and
knowledgeable. If you have aspirations of playing football or
cheering, this is the program for you. Come join the fun and get in
shape at the same time.

The fundamentals of cheerleading will be taught by city staff and
Leesburg HS Cheerleaders. We will have two squad leagues this
year, Junior (ages 9-11) and Prep (ages 12-13). Girls will be
divided into squads depending on the number of football teams that
coincide with their age groups. Cheerleaders will learn cheers,
stunting, half time dance, team camaraderie, and spirit.
Cheerleaders will be cheering for the basketball program. Practice
will commence on either Mondays or Wednesdays for 2 hours
depending on the team they are assigned. The Season will last for
about 2 months.
These lessons for girls 6 to 12 year old will cover voice projection, showmanship, and basic cheer routines. Classes will be held on Tuesdays & Thursdays from 5:45pm to 7:00pm at the Leesburg Community Building beginning on August 2nd for four weeks. The fee is $15.00. Register at the Recreation & Parks Department from June 27 through July 29.
