Henry Phalen and Alexis Groce led the way, respectively, as the girls & boys each pulled off 15-50 shutouts of Seaford at Chapel Branch on Wednesday.

Muneer Aziz, Mike Szczepanski, Matt Groce, Donique Hughes, Maddy Corporan, Sarah Jump, Molly Fulton and Natalia Hernandez each scored career-best times. Overall, 32 Bucs scored season-best times.

Alexis Groce and Henry Phalen scored top 5 finishes in the Varsity A races and Kelsey Cabrera added a No. 6 medal to pace the boys & girls in Saturday's season opener at the Lake Forest Invitational at Killens Pond. Amy Wilson, Hannah Uebele, Lydia Cole, Kristen Schulze and Taylor Hoey also helped pace the varsity to a third-place trophy; meanwhile, the boys finished a strong sixth overall.

Andrew Eshelman, Trevor Maloney and Josh McCormick each started 2012 with their career-best times, while James Hagen broke into the 17s and Chandler Benson-Reid and Brandon Munce each paced the varsity boys. Freshman Shane Feightner and sophomore Muneer Aziz scored solid runs to lead 14 rookie finishers for the Bucs.

Beautiful weather brought in another large crowd of participants Saturday, Nov. 26 as Patrick Helmick (17:13) and Molly Bliss (21:14) led the way as the top male and female finishers at the 13th annual MHSCC Boosters Reindeer Stampede 5K held at Milford Millponds Nature Preserve.
