Henry Phalen (17:16), James Hagen (17:47) and Andrew Eshelman (17:54) each made the home course record list, going 1-2-3 to pace the Bucs to a 15-50 shutout of St. Thomas More in Wednesday's home opener. Trevor Maloney, Jeremy Morgan, Brandon Munce and Tevin Cartwright finished the Top 7 sweep to help the Bucs to 3-0.

Meanwhile, Alexis Groce ran a new course-best (21:01) and Kelsey Cabrera (21:21) and Hannah Uebele (21:52) followed closely to pace the girls to a 15-50 victory. Amy Wilson, Lydia Cole, Kristen Schulze and Mia Fabres-Parker rounded out the varsity finishers.

The girls and boys each finished 6th out of 28 teams at the White Clay Creek Classic Friday as Alexis Groce smashed a 20:19 to win the senior race.

Meanwhile, Henry Phalen (3rd, 17:25) and James Hagen (7th, 17:45 career-best) also scored top 10 medals for the seniors. Kelsey Cabrera (5th for juniors) and Hannah Uebele (10th for sophs) also scored medals. Freshman Shane Feightner busted out a career-best of 21:10, and Mitchell Yoka cut nearly four minutes off his best. In all, 41 MHSCCers ran their fastest White Clay Creek time.
