This season has been filled with so many goals and achievements. We started the season with the simple goal in mind of learning the fundamentals of soccer. The girls were fired up after some tough practices in December, they all came back in January ready to make a difference. We end the season with a record of 3-1-5. I am confident that every young lady on this team understands the importance of teamwork and perseverance. I am already looking forward to next year’s season. Thank you all for your support!

This has been one of the most exciting starts of a soccer season for me. The energy in the teams is exciting! We have a mix of 20 athletes, in both 6th and 7th grade. The focus this season is on learning the sport of soccer. We are 3 games in and the team is already showing so much growth. I have a strong, hardworking, solid team that is willing to do what it takes to be successful. I am already extremely proud of all them.

The 7th Grade Girl’s Soccer Team had a season packed with learning, fun and eventful games. The girls started the season learning to pass, stay in positions, and the rules of the game. They ended the season knowing their positions, mastering the rules of the game, and strategically making moves on the field. The defense learned to hold the line and catch the opponents offense offsides. The midfield learned to control the ball, pass to the forwards and, some even tried their new tricks. The forwards learned to stay upfield and dribble around the defense. All together the team performed as a team, learning and encouraging each other along the way.

The 7th grade girl’s soccer team started the second half of its season with a hard-fought 7-0 loss against The Kinkaid School. Emma G. had a fantastic game as goalie stopping 11 shots on goal. The defense as a whole played a great game. Duaa N. also had a great run on goal that started by her heading the ball over multiple players. On January 12th the girls have another home game against St. Francis at 4:00pm. Come support your lady Viking soccer team!
