19th Annual Labour Day Weekend Tournament - for 2013 PeeWees

Hosted by Coquitlam-Moody Minor Baseball  - Thursday to Monday Aug.30 – Sep.03, 2012

 

Location is Aspenwood Elementary in Port Moody at 2001 Panorama Drive. For map searches on internet, use Aspenwood Elementary Port Moody as key words.  There is also a parking lot at the west end of the fields with access from Forest Park Way (suggest to use google map & satellite to view these options).

 

In this format with two small pools the round-robin games are against the 3 teams in the other pool.

After pool games complete on Sunday the standings are determined and then Monday’s semis are set up

with Red 2nd against Red 1st, and Blue 2nd vs Blue 1st.  On the Monday there is also a consolation game between the two 3rd place teams so that all teams will have at least 4 games.

 

Game MVPs - coaches please note :: For all games - in the post-game discussion

   with the other team’s coach you will need to select a “Game MVP” for each team.

 

 

The Thurs.-Friday 5:30 PM start time is difficult, but be ready by 5:45 PM latest.

Western Canada Bantam AA 2012 CHAMPIONSHIP

JUSTIN  MAUNAHAN & DARRIN LODOVICA joined Chilliwack Bantam AA and WON the WESTERN CANADA CHAMPIONSHIP @ Morden, Manitoba.

PEE WEE FALL BALL 2012

Tom Griffiths  will be coordinating and coaching Fall Ball this year
We currently have 30 players registered and growing day by day.
Just a little insight for those that are new to fall ball
We will all be practicing at the same time on every Tuesday and Wednesday at 5:30pm   to Sundown;  weather permiting
Our games will be on Saturdays and Sundays usually starting at noon and 3pm both days
Our home games and practices will be at Nanaimo Park located at 46th and Nanaimo St.
We are entering 2 tournaments so far, one starting on Thursday Aug.30th going to Sept 3rd (Long Weekend) in Port Moody
The other tournament is from Sept. 14th to the 16th in Cloverdale
We will be enterting 1 or 2 teams in each tournament depending on the number of players wishing to participate.
We will be playing teams from all over the lower Mainland so there will be some travel involved all on weekends except for tournaments where there may be a game on Thursday or a Friday
We will be playing anywhere from 15 to 20 games weather permiting and the season will last till the middle of Oct.
There will be no set teams as we have found that players can not make all the games scheduled due to other commitments.
At the begining of each week Tom  will send out an email of the weeks games and will ask that you select 2 or more games from the schedule that works best for your son or daughter
On the Wednesday , Tom   will send a reply back to everyone stating which players will be playing in what games based on your responses.
Some games may only have 10 to 12 players or up to 15 players wanting to play that game.
 
The fee to play Fall Ball is $70 payble by cheque to VMBA
All players recieve a hat a fall ball shirt and socks.
We have a concession at our park but will only be open if we have volunteer parents to operate it for the games
