Update From Board Meeting on 11/30/2009

Posted by Mike Baldwin at Dec 5, 2009 4:00PM PST ( 0 Comments )

This is an update from our recent board meeting.

  • Website - We are working on providing an on-line payment option this year. We are trying to incorporate the option to pay for fee's, coach Clark clinic's etc.
  • Fee's - we are going lighter on the fund-raising this year and go to a fee schedule. Fund-Raising will help defer the costs of some equipment the team needs but will not be as prevalent as last year. As I mentioned earlier we are trying to keep the costs around 2009 levels if possible. Many factors can effect the costs but that is the goal.
  • Leagues - 13 & 14 divisions - We are trying to put together a program for the 13 and 14U teams that will take place at Mistlin on the big fields. The plan for the younger guys will be to have them play at the Rainbow league. All will play tournaments. This plan is based on the player base we had last year if we get more or less players we adjust.
  • Coaches - We are going to ask all of our coaches to participate in a professionally run coaches clinic (more to follow) in addition to the clinic's run by Steve Clark and the Ripon HS coaching staff. We are also working on getting a sports psychologist as a guest speaker for our coaches to help them work with our kids even better.
  • Board member change - Kim Haines has agreed to be the treasurer
  • Softball - We are still trying to get this program off the ground for a 9/10, 11/12 group
  • Please check the website for the latest on our next Mountain Mike's Informational Event on 12/15
