St. Johns-Lambros takes Game 1 of the Championship Series.

St. Johns-Lambros rallied for 4 runs in the top of the seventh to defeat South Hills in the first game of the championship series, 7 to 4.  South hills scored 4 unearned runs in the bottom of the fifth, with two home runs.  Those runs erased a 2-0 saints lead.  But the saints scored a run in the sixth and 4 in the seventh to secure the victory.

Jim Jaskowski went 3 for 3, with two doubles and scored 3 runs.  Mike hermann was 2 for 3 with 2 RBI. 

Eric McGough went the distance, giving up 5 hits, and 4 walks, while striking out 8.

Saints Sweep Findlay.

St. Johns-Lambros completed their First-Round sweep of Findlay with an 11-2 victory Sunday at West Allegheny H.S.

Mike Hermann was 3 for 3, with 4 RBI, while Rich Satcho continued his hot hitting by going 4 for 5, with a double, triple, and 2 singles, while driving in a run.  Nate Thimons was 3 for 4 with an RBI.

Adam Hahn threw 7 strong innings giving up 2 runs on 4 hits while striking out 10.  Eric McGough pitched the final inning of this rain-shortened game and struck out 3.  Neither Saint pitcher yeilded a walk.

The Saints now await the winner of the yet to be begun South Hills-Mt. Lebanon series.

Satcho's walk-off wins it for the Saints.

Catcher Rick Satcho hit a walk off Grand Slam with 1 out in the bottom of the 10th. inning to power the Saints to a come from behind 10- 9 game 1 victory over Findlay.   Findlay took advantage of 6 Saint errors to score seven of their nine runs.  John Smith was the winning pitcher, after giving up a 3 run homer in the top of the 10th.

Satcho was 4 for 5 0n the day with his 4 RBI, while Jim Jaskowski went 2 for 4 with 3 RBI.  Jon Zilles also knocked in 2 for the Saints.  Rick Krist scored 3 runs.

Todd Schiffhauer pitched 9 innings, striking out 9, while walking 4.
