After finishing 6-3 in the regular season, the Varsity football team advanced to the TAPPS Independent State Playoffs for the first time in school history. As a 3 seed, our Vikings will take on St. Dominic Savio from Austin. The game will be played on Friday, October 28th, at 7:00PM in Giddings, TX. This is an incredible achievement for our football team, and for second year Head Coach, Kevon Bagot, it must be assuring that his program is headed in the right direction. The school is providing a fan bus to the game to help cheer on our Vikings to victory!

The Varsity cross country team will also be competing in the post-season. After a strong district showing last Tuesday, our Viking runners are poised to show what they can do at the TAPPS 6A State Championship this Saturday in Waco, TX. At the district meet, our boys team took 3rd place overall, led by Junior Alex A-E. and Eduardo G, who took 3rd and 5th respectively. The girls team finished 4th, and were led by defending 4A State Champion, Charlotte S, who finished 2nd overall at the district meet. Good luck to our Village Viking cross country team this weekend!
