Through Pennsylvania’s Department of Community & Economic Development (DCED), BASA applied for and has been granted money to improve our soccer facilities. The B.A.S.A Board would like to sincerely thank Mike Veon and his staff for their assistance in securing this state funding. BASA participants as well as the community as a whole will benefit tremendously from this grant as we continue to expand and improve our soccer program and facilities. No Jewelry, Please!! One of the Referee’s responsibilities before each game is to make sure that NO players are wearing potentially dangerous objects, such as watches, jewelry or adornment of any nature. (This would include, but is not limited to, earrings, bracelets, necklaces, hair beads, hair clips, or any other type of adornment, that a referee would deem a potentially dangerous.) Players that are wearing the above mentioned items will be asked to remove them, taping or covering is not an acceptable practice. Please be aware that the only exception to the above rule would be “Medic Alert Jewelry”, but this jewelry would have to be taped down. Please help the Referees by making sure your child is jewelry free before each game. Thank You. Indoor Soccer B.A.S.A. is trying to determine the number of players that would be interested in playing indoor soccer. The first indoor soccer session starts at the end of Oct. or the beginning of Nov. and last between 8 and 10 weeks and the approximate cost is $75 to $80 per player. Games would be played at the Y-Zone in Neshannock Twp. There will be sign-up sheets located at the table next to the concession stand on Sat., Oct. 2 & 9. Please be aware that this is only to determine the number of players interested in playing indoor soccer! This is NOT a registration and signing up does not mean that your child is on a team.
