Scorpions

Our first tournament was a success as we qualified for the championship game and ended up playing four games in three days! The highlight of the tournament was our 3-1 come-from-behind win against a tough team from Little Canada, Minnesota that qualified us for the championship game against a team from Alberta, Canada. In our semifinal victory against the Minnesota Titans, Mark Schwartz scored our first goal and also game winning goal to be awarded the MVP and give us a 4-3 victory. In the Championship game against the Radically Canadiens we played a great first half game but then later in the game they began to pick us apart and eventually won 6-2. Aside from the hockey, the comaradarie was terrific. Everybody chipped in to pay for food, beer, redbull, cover and other luxury expenses. We hope that several of the guys who could not participate in this tournament will have an opportunity in the fall or next spring to join us for our next tournament! We are talking about a more family oriented destination so that wives and kids will be welcome. Thanks to all who participated!
