Yellow Jackets

Dear Players, Parents, Guardians: The Yellow Jackets are the first competitive Long Island girl's lacrosse travel club program. Our goal is to provide athletes exposure to college, coaches by playing in premier tournaments up and down the east coast. Last season over 50 Yellow Jacket Seniors signed with Division 1 college programs. By competing against top level competition, we help these young athletes take their game to the next level. Our Coaching staff is dedicated to providing quality instruction and coaching, during practice and game situations. These young ladies are positive role models for young women today and are truly dedicated to the sport. Tryouts will be in April, but not to interfere with the high school lacrosse season.The team will practice on week nights and Saturday/Sunday afternoons for approximately two hours. Exact times and location will be announced. Athletes are responsible for goggles and mouthpieces for each practice and game. Membership Includes: -Intensive, quality coaching designed to improve individual and team skills. -Ten two hour practice sessions -Use of coaching staff as college references. -Team warm ups, jersey, and shorts for 1st year players -Visors and Sweatshirts for 2nd year players. -Bags and Under wear Gear for 3rd yr players. Players are responsible for all travel, accommodations, and tournament entry fees, and coaches accomodations. Insurance: ALL athletes must be members of US LACROSSE to supplement their own insurance programs.(All tournaments require that athletes have this coverage).Contact USLacrosse for membership information or go to http://www.uslacrosse.org to register on-line. Yellow Jackets Membership Cost: $550/year plus a $25.00 Tryout fee Application forms may be found in our Apps and Handout section listed on the left. Please remember this is a very competitive travel club team. There is no guaranteee of a spot on any team, and it will be soley the coaching staffs discretion of team placement. If you are not happy with the placement, a full refund will be awarded up until April 30th, 2004 only. Please send in your money and application by February 1st, 2004. Failure to submit a completed application and check by February, 2004 may jeopardize your ability to even tryout.
