Hello Track & Field Club Family, we are really working towards our ultimate goal of our $19,000 Approved Budget. Can you believe we have achieved $9,588.00 of total fundraising efforts ($8,686.00 plus today's $902.00). We had a few expenditures since the last reported balance of $7423.00. We have 7,367.00 readily available. I'm tired, I hope my math adds up. The bake sale climate was positive and welcoming. The baked goods were awesome and very tasty (oops!) The video presentation really captivated our athletes though meant for our customers. The past teaches how to be successful in the future, so the video clips of our track meets are very important teaching tool. The Mangers of Sub-way (Mike), Nails (Jimmy), and Friedmans' (Lynn) welcomed us back anytime we needed to raise money for the athletes. We shall take them up on their kindness to support the youth of the Central Texas Community. To all whom labored over the stove and ovens, we thank you for the great variety of baked goods. We should open a "Five Hills Bakery" and put that Krispy Creme organization out of business. Our parents can bake and prepared treats very well. Happy Father's Day to the "FATHERS" of our athletes, parents, fans, guardian, and single mothers who must serve in a father's place. "Train Hard, Eat Right, Hydrate!!!" Coach Griffin
Hello Five Hills Track & Field Club Family, We are pleased to inform you all of $1045.00 yielded at our fifth Bake Sale. So, if you perform your math correctly, we have yielded $8,686.00 nearly half of our intended goal. It’s amazing and we appreciate parents and athletes who are actively participating in our fund raising efforts. It has been brought to my attention of several parents offering money towards our bake sales and fundraising efforts. Please do not take money out of your household. We appreciate the donated baked good and time of preparations. We are privately returning several checks to those families. Thanks for your support and intent, but we want to stay on vision by reducing out of pocket expense. We are doing well, and you need to know the expenditures taken from your efforts: 1. First Track Meet we shelled out $360.00 total. 2. Second Track Meet we shelled out $265.00 total. 3. Shade & Green Lodging Deposit $351.35 (Will Brief at Meeting) 4. Athlete Sponsorship (Uniforms, Shoes, and T-Shirts) $209.00 5. Club Membership Card/Insurance $88.00 All these expenditures have bee outlined in our Approved 2006 Budget. So readily available, we have an exciting $7,423.00 at our mid season fundraising efforts. We also had numerous expenditures in preparation for our Track Meet, but those expenditures were recovered from the borrowed earlier balance of our fundraising efforts. So, again thanks to all the parents who came through for me (Coach Griffin) after receiving those late night phone calls. To our parents who have not been able to participate, please get motivated and assist in our efforts, we need you in two weeks, June 17, 2006. “Train Hard, Eat Right, Hydrate!!!” Coach Griffin

Fourth Bake Yielded $500.00

Posted by Robert Griffin, Jr at May 13, 2006 5:00PM PDT ( 0 Comments )
Hello Five Hills Track & Field Club Family. First and Foremost: We would like to extend a Happy Mother's Day greeting to all of our Track Mothers; and the single fathers and guardians of our athletes. We are doing a wonderful job in not just raising money, but speaking volumes to our community. They see our athletes and parents dutifully engaged in supporting a Youth Sports Organization. We are pleased in our efforts which yielded $480.00. Since we have being doing so well, Coach Griffin threw in $20.00 to make it an even $500.00 for the pie or special treat no one saved for him. Our fundraising efforts are needed, and we still need many of our parents and athletes to come out and support the VISION to reduce your out of pocket expenses. We have laid out the expenses which can be occured by you, and we feel we can be very successful when all our parents make their presence noted. We also wuld like to sing praises to our mothers for their creativity in baking. The Five Hills Track & Field Mothers are hands down the best bakers in Central Texas. This prestige title makes Coach "Bread Is The Enemy" Griffin a little concern knowing that he has bakeries within the athlete's home for them to savy over. Yet; it's joy to see the efforts of homemade baked goods being so plentiful and different with a tasteful variety upon the tables. Coach Griffin wants all the parents to know, "This is a critical week in practice. Our first track meeet is Saturday, May 20, 2006. We are going to really work hard on Monday and Tuesday." He (Coach Griffin) has opened up a unscheduled Wednesday (6:00 -7:30 pm) practice schedule, due to cancelling practice on Friday (May 19, 2006) for most of the team, so the athletes and their parents can enjoy the Annual Rabbit Fest. Please keep them from those "Funnel Cakes". We now have earned $3971.00 from four bake sales and the Mother's Day Raffle. Great job Five Hills Track & Field Family. "United We Can Accomlish All That We Seek!!!" Motivated Bake Sale Mom
Hello Five Hills Track & Field Family, we are pleased with the team concept of fundraising. Your efforts have yielded another $1,426.00 dollars from our Annual Mother’s Day Raffle. This brings our fund raising efforts up to $3,471.00 to date. Coach Griffin initially teased us with his ticket being pulled four consecutive times by Ashley Duncan, Austin Parker, Brianna Bennett, and Chamaal Turner. The winner of the 2006 raffle was pulled Ashley Duncan. Mrs. Lee, the winner lives in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, the Aunt of Caleel, Chamaal and Chamaya. We want to congratulate the winner and the athlete who raffled the winning ticket, Sub-Youth Caleel Turner. The Five Hills Track Club took time out to award the McArthur Family for their efforts in raffling over 60 tickets and the proud owner of a high speed DVD with remote. Timothy Jones distinguished himself amongst the single family athletes raffling in excess of 30 raffle tickets. He also carried away a supersonic DVD player for his entertainment pleasure. This year, one athlete was given a commitment award, which put him at a disadvantage, but no fault of his own. Jacquil Spell raffle ticket was lingering in the back (mind) seat of a special Five Hills Family’s vehicle. He was given his tickets on Wednesday, May 3. 2006. This young fellow purposefully went out into the community and raffled all his tickets. He even received a special donation. Jacquil is proof that effort counts and we couldn’t over look his feat. We included him in the state of the art high performance DVD players’ recipient list. Please remember every effort counts, as we endeavor to reduce out of pocket expenses while developing sound principals in teamwork and sportsmanship. We have an upcoming Bake Sale on Saturday, May 13, 2006. Every dollar we raise benefits every member of the Five Hills Track & Field Club Family. Coach Griffin says, “We shall help and assist every athlete and family member.” We believe one person can influence many, so don’t be moved by how many raffle tickets you were able or unable to raffle. Again, we thank you for your raffling and support of the vision to reduce out of pocket expenses. “The Team Shall Always Benefit” Jack Rabbits Fundraising Committee
