FRESHMAN DYLAN ONEY SCORES HATTRICK IN WIN AGAINST CANFIELD!
Hoover Freshman Dylan Oney scored a hattrick tonight in the Viking 10-0 win over the Canfield Cardinals in Canfield. Oney's first goal came at the end of the second period, with goals two and three in the third, with the last unassisted goal ending the game in a mercy, with 8 minutes left to go. Oney's goals were assisted by Sam Hankins and Alex Zielke.
Junior Bradley Harcourt scored two goals, assisted by Chaz Gordish on both, and Shane Saba on the second, and Sophomore Preston Mackert had two goals and an assist, with assists on Mackert's goals from Zach Lawson. Additional goals were scored by Mike Magana, assisted by Sam Hankins, Alec Weber assisted by Kyle Policchio and Preston Mackert, and Cole Bukowy with an unassisted rocket from the point. Junior netminder Korey Davis had a shutout, playing all three periods.
The Vikings travel to Parma this weekend for the Martin Luther King Weekend Tournament, beginning on Saturday at 6:30 pm against Brunswick, with games against Parma and Nordonia on Sunday at 3:30 and Monday at 8:45 am. GO VIKES!!!!
