The Vikings dominated Friday's game against the Avon Purple Eagles, winning in a 10-2 shut-down Friday night.  The Vikings never allowed Avon in the game, taking an early lead with the first goal, scored by Bradley Harcourt, on assists from Dylan Oney and John Derosiers less than one minute into the first period.

Avon scored 4 minutes later but it was all Vikings with four more goals scored by Zach Lawson on an assist by Derosiers, Sam Hankins on assists from Kyle Policchio and Alex Zielke, and Dylan Oney on an assist from Harcourt.  Halfway through the second period, Harcourt scored unassisted, followed quickly by a goal from Avon, but the rest of the game belonged to the Vikings, with goals scored by Harcourt on assists from Oney and Spencer Mackert, Oney on an assist from Harcourt, Derosiers unassisted and a final two goals by Harcourt - one unassisted and one assisted by Lawson.
