Combine that is Close!

Posted by Jeffersonville Football on May 17 2013 at 04:32AM PDT

We are hosting a COLLEGE PROSPECT COMBINE NEXT WEDNESDAY (May 22nd) for the 3rd straight year—it is open to rising Sophs, Jrs, and Srs (NO current Seniors).

Per NCAA regulations, Division 1 and 1AA schools may not attend, BUT we always have many Division 2, D3, and NAIA coaches from Kentucky, Indiana, and Ohio there (schools where MOST of our kids are going to end up playing—whether they think that right now or not).

This will be the LOWEST-PRICED ($25), MOST EXPOSURE (have had no fewer than 10 college coaches come every year we’ve done it), for the LEAST TRAVEL of any football camp they could attend. We will email THAT NIGHT every time and measurement and kids’ contact information from the camp to all the college coaches in attendance as well as probably 60 others (including all the D1 and 1AAs in my database who aren’t allowed to watch the camp).

There is no ‘pre-registration’ for the camp. They just need to come to the game field at Ballard between 4:00pm and 5:15pm next Wednesday — I recommend they get here close to 4:00, register, then go grab something to eat/drink across the street…there were quite a few kids from outside Jefferson County who came last year and the line got pretty long right before the events started. The events will start at 5:30…you are, of course, welcome to come watch it all too.

THERE IS A FORM THAT I NEED THEM TO HAVE SIGNED BY THEIR PARENT (it’s attached). So if they might come without their parents, they really should have this filled out ahead of time (that will also make their registration quicker).

The registration form should have all the information they need — but if they want more, have them go to Facebook and type in LOUISVILLE COMBINE or click this link: http://www.facebook.com/louisville.combine?ref=tn_tnmn (they can also find the Registration Form there in the NOTES section).
Please remind them to bring:

  • Cleats AND athletic shoes for INSIDE (gym floor) — we will have the event rain or shine
  • Helmet (for the 1on1 drills)
  • Jersey with a NUMBER on it (this REALLY helps the college coaches with identification) — can be a practice jersey
  • IF A QUARTERBACK — they should bring their own football and it should be MARKED with their name & school name
  • I want to make it clear that I will pocket ZERO of the money we take up. 100% of it will go to support our football players who cannot afford to pay their football fees out of pocket or who fall short on fundraising (trust me, they will have to WORK for the money).

If you or your kids or parents have any questions about it, please don’t hesitate to email me or call 439-4512.
Thanks,
Mike Jackson
