FALL BALL PLAYER REGISTRATION to open by August 10, 2018 - ONLY on-line registration will be available.  Two Portsmouth teams are planned -- roster spots are on first come, first served basis.  Questions?  Please contact PBRL President Bob McSparren:  robert.mcsparren@gmail.com 

PBRL Fall Baseball program is for new players presently moving up from Little League and other programs (as just completed "league-age 12 year olds") to the big sized baseball diamond, as well as current 13-15 year old Babe Ruth players.  This is a relaxed, fun and instruction-oriented Fall season with younger players highly encouraged to participate to ease their transition to the large field.

** Bats **  The only acceptable bats for use in Babe Ruth Baseball are bats either having the BBCOR stamp or USABat stamp.  If using a wood bat it MUST be a solid one-piece wood bat (NO composite handles nor Bamboo-type wood bats are acceptable).  These new bat rules per Babe Ruth National went into effect in early 2018 for the entire B/R 13-16 Division.  Additional info on approved bats can be found in our "Links" section.

Eligible players include those from Portsmouth, Tiverton, Little Compton, Bristol and Warren RI (and students attending academic school in any of these communities).  More info on this in article below...  

Multiple Portsmouth teams (depending on player registration count) play one game each weekend (typically Saturday) and one game mid-week within the Aquidneck Island Fall Babe Ruth League, starting around the second Saturday in September and going until late October.  At least one all-players practice is scheduled each week as well.
