12U, 14U Championship Game Results on 6/1 and 6/3
6/1 - 14U 14 Ripon Christian 4
The 14U Cyclones ended the spring season at Rainbow Fields with a strong showing against RC winning 14-4. The 14U team was undefeated at Rainbow with a 13-0 record. They beat the 1st place 13U Honkers by more than 10 runs the week prior. The RC coach complimented our boys saying he told his team they needed to play with the intensity of our team. Good job guys.
6/3 - 12U 1 Giants 8
Our 12U team also made it to the championship game as the number 1 seed but struggled and lost 8-1 against the Giants. They have played the Giants 4 times this season at Rainbow and in tournament play at were 2-2 against them. The 12U boys have played some tough teams this year and are doing great. You guys should be proud of how well you have done.
We still have a few tournaments left and all of the teams have improved over the season. Lets finish strong in the remaining games we have left.
12U 8 Giants 2
The 12U team played the 1st place Giants for the 3rd time this season at Rainbow and came away with a decisive win making them 2-1 in head to head competition and regaining their 1st place standing. Derek Hickman pitched a complete game throwing 6 strikeouts, 4 walks, and allowed only 2 hits. The defense registered only one error for the game. Offensively Nick Sharp led the way going 2-3 with a solo HR. Nick Price, Andrew Manes and Michael Ysit also went 2-3...
