See the Calendar for the December Games schedule!   This schedule is TENTATIVE at this point!  I do know that the Friday, December 7th game time will likely be 8 pm, instead of the current scheduled 6 pm - or the date may be changed completely.

Also - check out the new "Message Boards" feature from the Main Page.  You can leave comments about the Basketball program, tell us what we can do to improve it, ask any questions you may have about the website or leave any other suggestions or comments!

The Boys White Team completed a great day in the Tip Off Tournament, going 3-1, with wins over Windsor, M-E White and M-E Greene.  The only loss came in a close game with the Binghamton YMCA team. 

Over the four games, four different kids lead (or tied to lead) the game in scoring and seven different kids were the second leading scorers.  This balanced effort showed what a great team effort each game was! 

The coaches didn't see one selfish play the whole day and we played strong, aggressive defense in every game!

We're very proud of you guys for the great start!

     

Attention Parents

*There will be a $1 charge or the donation of non-perishable food item for Catholic Charities Food Bank as the cost of admission for the Tip-off Tournament.

*On Wednesday, each of you will be receiving a letter from Chris Hinkey, who has set a schedule for parents to work the concession stand during the tournament.  One parent per child on the team is needed.  No one will be scheduled for the same time period that we are playing.

I realize it can be inconvienent to stay for an extra two hours or return later in the evening to work the concession stand, but it is a very important obligation for the travel program's continued success.  I believe you will see how important when you read Mr. Hinkey's letter.  In addition to the two hours each of you and other parents give, many other volunteers, with and without kids in the program, will be obtaining supplies on Thursday night, setting up on Friday night, working the tournament on Saturday and breaking down everything Saturday night!  (There are even a few volunteers who will be doing all of these functions!!!)

Please make sure that if you cannot cover your shift, you find someone who can and notify Mr. Hinkey of the change.

We have to change practices times to 7 - 8:30 for Tues-Friday this week.  We may also have to do this next week.  We will be overlapping the girls program for the first half-hour, conducting drills etc. along with them. 

I apologize for any inconvienence on the time change.  It is difficult coordinating gym time between various coaches abilities of when they can practice along with the limited gym time and the many teams.

I will give you as much notice as I can about schedule changes, but please keep checking the site as well!
