Article XV. - ALL STAR TEAMS

A. Objective - The objective is to form All Star teams that will best represent the League in post-season competition. B. Procedure - No later than the second Sunday of June of the current year the Player Agents will notify the manager of every team in each Division of the date, time, and location of the All Star selection tryouts. C. Selection of managers - The First place manager/coach of the Division will be the Head Coach for All Stars. The Second place manager/coach is offered a position on the coaching team. The First place manager/coach will choose the remaining coaches for the coaching team. D. Number of Players on Each Team - The All Star teams will consist of a minimum of 12 players and a maximum of 15 players. A point driven system chooses the first 10 players. Additional players may be added from the top 20 in points at the Head Coaches discretion. E. Selection of players - Each manager/coach may submit a maximum of five of their strongest players to the All-Star tryout. The Executive Board shall remain the final approval step for each All Star team. F. Commitment Means - Every player and manager/coach on the All Star teams must be willing to participate in all practices and in any post-season tournaments. Any player who makes a commitment and later elects not to play for that All Star team will not be allowed to play for any other League post-season team, unless approval is granted by the Executive Board. G. Open Selection - There is no requirement that each team be represented on the All Star teams. H. Replacement Due to Injury or Other Loss - In the case of injury or other loss of a player, replacement players may be added to the team. The coaching staff will select a replacement player. The All Star coaching staff will select a player from the remaining players on the potential All Star players list, subject to the approval of the Player Agents. If the list has been exhausted, then the All Star coaching staff may select the replacement player from any girl remaining (not selected for post-season play) from the Division. I. Drop Policy - No All Star player may be dropped from an All Star team without the approval of the Executive Board.

Atricle XVI. - WINTER LEAGUE

A. Winter League is available. B. The (outgoing) Vice President will act as the Winter League Commissioner. C. Mangers or coaches who wish to form a Winter League team must inform the Vice President by August 1. D. All girls wishing to participate in Winter League must fill out an approved registration form for Winter League sign-up by September 1. E. The League does not supply the team’s uniform for Winter League. Teams/Players must provide their own uniforms, host sponsors (if desired) and entry fees for League play. The League will provide equipment, fields, and insurance for Winter League play.

Article X. - STANDING COMMITTEES

A. Audit Committee - Shall consist of the Vice President, who shall chair the committee, and the incoming and outgoing Financial Advisors. This committee is responsible for performing an audit of the books maintained by the Treasurer. The committee will report their finding to the Executive Board at the regular November meeting. B. Protest Committee - Shall be formed by the first game of the year, by the Vice President or the Player Agents and shall consist of 12 persons who are managers or coaches. Three of the members will be selected from each Division and shall hear and decide another divisions protest. C. Clinic Committee - Shall consist of the Vice President, and three (3) Player Agents, and will be responsible for organizing player and coaches clinics, etc. D. League Rules Committee - Shall consist of the Vice President, three (3) Player Agents, and any current member interested in participating. Executive Board has final approval. E. Field Maintenance Committee - Shall consist of Vice President, one (1) Player Agent, and twenty-five (25) volunteers from the membership. F. Ethics Committee - Shall consist of the President, Vice President and Secretary. This committee is responsible for risk management issues pertaining to Managers/Head Coaches.

Article VI. - MEETINGS

Section 1. Regular Meetings Meetings will be scheduled as needed and coaches will be notified in advance. Section 2. Executive Board Meetings Executive Board meetings are attended by board members only. Meetings are closed to all others.

The name of this nonprofit organization is the Elk Grove Girls Softball League Incorporated, also known as the Elk Grove Girls Softball League (hereinafter referred to as the “League”).
