Falcons drop one to South

Posted by Antiwan Easley at Dec 4, 2007 4:00PM PST ( 0 Comments )

The Armstrong Falcons took to South High School to take on a very quick Tiger team.  While the girls played hard, South came out on top 65-40.  Amanda Viehauser pitched in 13 to lead the Falcons. The game was a very good learning experience and the coaching staff thought the girls stick together well.

In the JV game, Coach Jans had another team effort from all the girls as they topped the Tigers by 20.

Next up for the Falcons they will travel to Blaine on 12/6 to face the Bengals and then have a home game with Eagan on Saturday 12/8.  Check the calender and schedules for gametimes.

Thank you to the Lynx

Posted by Antiwan Easley at Nov 29, 2007 4:00PM PST ( 0 Comments )

Armstrong would like to extend a very big thank you to #1 draft pick Lindsey Harding and the Minnesota Lynx for attending last nights game.  The youth and adults were very excited to meet Lindsey and look forward to watching her tear up the WNBA this season.  Good luck to the Lynx with the up and coming season.

With the excitement in the air with having Lindsey Harding and the Minnesota Lynx in the Gym, the Falcons took the floor against Hill Murray looking to put on a good performance.  They did not disappoint the crowd as they defeated the Spartans 68-54.

Behind the 18 point 12 rebounds of Stephanie Loobeck the Falcons soared once again with an impressive victory.  Kristi Loobeck added 10 points and Nicole Dooher remained consistant from the floor popping in 21.  The coaching staff thought this was a great team effort and that it was a great case of how on any given night different people on this team will step up and energize the team with their efforts to bring success to the program.  The team is defiantly coming together.

In JV action the Falcons picked up a victory winning 36-30.  Dominique Thompson led the team with a strong performance in the paint.

Next up the Falcons will take on the very talented Minneapolis South team in one the Falcons biggest tests this season.  Game time is set for Tuesday 7pm at Minneapolis South.
