Armstrong headed into Alexandria looking to put a great end to the 2007 part of the season.  They did just that winning two games on back to back nights at the Alexandria Tournament.  On Friday Armstrong faced host Alexandria and behind the strong play of Nicole Dooher, Nikki Brown and Stephanie Loobeck they defeated Alexandria 67-62.  The Falcons were up 16 at one point and held off a late charge to face Moorhead in the finals.

In the finals, led by the strong play of Stephanie Loobeck, Armstrong soared to a Championship Victory 74-56 over a good shooting Moorhead team.

Loobeck led all scorers with 25 points.

Loobeck and Alyssa Marschner were names to the All-Tournament team

The win gave the Falcons an outstanding record of 10-1 going into 2008.

The Falcons came out and played a very scrappy Spartan team that would not go away without a fight.  In the end led by the hard work of Amanda Viehauser who was 1 block shot away from a triple double, 10 points 12 rebounds and 9 block shots, the Falcons picked up the W.
The Falcons also received a strong performance from Stephanie Loobeck who had 14 points 7 rebounds. 
Nicole Dooher pitched in 17 points with 8 steals and Alyssa Marschner added 10 points.

Next up the Falcons take on always tough St Paul Johnson at home on Friday!!!

Woodbury tournament information

Behind the strong performances from Nicole Dooher and Amanda Viehauser the Falcons win 69-41 over Eagan.

Dooher had a game high 24 points, 10 rebounds and 4 steals.  Viehauser pitched in 17 points.  The Falcons had a successful week winning 2 out of 3 games.  Next up the Falcons will face Orono on 12/11 and St. Paul Johnson on 12/13. Both games are scheduled to be played at Armstrong High School.

Falcons back on track

After a loss it is easy for a team to lose focus on the big picture.  The Falcons pulled together a great team effort to make sure they got back on the winning track.
Behind the 19 point 7 rebound performance of Nicole Dooher the Falcons soared to a 53-39 victory over the Bengals.  The girls played a complete team game and received great minutes from Nikki Brown and Alli Hoefer off the bench.

Next up the Falcons take on Eagan on Saturday. game time is 7:00pm at AHS
