What's Happening

Hello Skiers, Great race to all skiers who participated in the Marshall Sprints and the Mt. Itasca NorAm race. I heard from some of the college coaches that their skiers felt the Mt. Itasca course was harder than the 5km Olympic course at Soldier Hollow. You all skied it very well. Congratulations. Now for this week: Friday we have a race at the Pincushion trails in Grand Marias. Sign up by the end of practice on Tuesday. We have asked for two busses so everyone can go. It is a 5km pursuit race with the classic first. You can do the pursuit, classic only or skate only. All skier hoping to make the section team or the state relay team should ski the pursuit. Junior high races will be about 3km long. The will be a fun short throw together relay afterward. You can put your teams together or if you don't have a team and want to ski it let Bonnie know. After the race we will stop and swim for an hour or so at the city pool and then go to Sven & Ole's for pizza. Bring money for the pizza...we'll pay for the pool. Next week on Thursday is the Arrowhead Championships at Snowflake. We are the host so we will need lots of parent help. Please let us know if you can help. There are many things that need to be done so the more the merrier. Some things are inside and some outside so this is your first warning to dress warm. None of the tasks are difficult so no experience is necessary. Remember to get your strength workouts in...shovel when it snows. If your parents have a snowblower you can come over and help with our driveway. See you at Snowflake, Dave & Bonnie
