Riverside Summer Hockey Team 2007

Posted by David Shook on Apr 26 2007 at 05:00PM PDT
UPDATE: We have practice sessions on June 7th at 7:30pm Gilmour and June 8th 6:30pm at Gilmour. I should have the schedule by then, but I will need eveyone to be there at least one of those two nights so I can get the paperwork filled out and collect the money. If you cannot make it either night let me know in advance and we can get together and do the paperwork beforehand - it's basic forms for USA hockey but unless the player is 18 years old we need parent/guardian's signature. The cost is going to be $180 per player, please make checks payable to "William Cogar". There will be no games scheduled on June 10th or any of the Tuesdays that we have power skating. Season begins June 10th a schedule will be out as soon as available Season ends July 31st Cost: $225 (This includes $30 for USA hockey registration IMR?s this is good for 2007-2008 season) This is the highest the price will be, but if we have 20 players the price will be more like $175. Make checks payable to: William Cogar, please wait till night of first practice we will do all the paper work that night, if cannot make that first night practice you need to get me all the paperwork by the next day. We are going to roster up to 20 skaters and 2-3 goalies. 22 max players. The team will be coached by Rich Dempsey. Don?t be concerned that it is too many players- due to vacations and other summer commitments we rarely have a full team on game days. The summer team is for Riverside students and those who are considering Riverside Club team for 07-08 season. The summer team is separate from the regular season winter team and does not guarantee a roster spot on the Riverside Hockey Club Team. Like last year, we will be playing in the Buckeye Hockey Association. We will have 2 practices prior to June 9th after the season starts we may throw an extra practice or two in at coaches discretion. Games will be played on Monday thru Friday evenings and all day Sunday. There will be no games played on Saturdays. There will be a total of 10 games scheduled. The games will be played at multiple arenas. There will be no games or practices scheduled on Tuesday evenings due to the power skating sessions. This league is more of a camp and is set up to give the players a chance to stay on the ice over summer. Its also a good time to introduce high school hockey to the incoming 9th graders. I will collect the money from everyone and give out jerseys the first practice night. Please contact Craig Cogar as soon as possible so I can start a list. Email is best the way - ccbass@alltel.net or call me at 354-6266 home, 259-5816 work
