The North Royalton Bears improved to 4-3-1 in the NCHSHL with a 3-1 win over the Riverside Beavers on January 4th. The Bears got on the board first when Cam Cook’s shot from outside the blue line snuck past the Beavers tender. North Royalton added to their lead midway through the second period, on the power-play, when Jacob Krosky put home a Colin O’Connor feed, also assisting on the goal was Paul Jablonski. Riverside got one of their own just 22 seconds later reducing the Bear’s lead to one. Timmy Orlosky netted an empty netter to seal the game with just under a minute left in the third assisted by Krosky and Cook. Joey Fratantonio continued his solid play in net for the Bears stopping 20 of the 21 shots he faced. The win improves the Bears overall record to 14-7-2.
