I missed a game while I was entering the stats, so a few players stats have changed. Some went up, some went down. I will update after every game, so check back. Remember, stats reflect personal achievement, we're more interested in team stats.......right????? RIGHT?????

Mets 10 Giants 8

Well we are going about the last 5 games the right way, playing hard for 6 innings. You guys have to be sick of hearing that speech by now! But it's true, if you had quit on yourselves and the team after the first inning of Thursday nights game, we would be sitting at 12-3-1. Even though we had 7 errors in this game, I saw a bright spot, a willingness not to quit, and that makes teams winners. You hear coaches talk about heart and desire, well you guys showed it. The "bambino" hit his third homer of the year, and Garrett kept pace with a jack himself. Garrett's roundtripper was his second of the year.If we combine the hustle, the pitching, the aggressiveness, and the big hitting that we had in this game, the last 4 games will be fantastic!! I can't wait.....

It's Been Awhile

Posted by Chris Bracco at May 18, 2004 5:00PM PDT ( 0 Comments )
Well it's been awhile since I've updated this here web page, I've been trying my best to figure out what makes 10,11,and 12 yr. olds tick. I still haven't figured that one out, but after last Mondays game, I think they've done it for me. It's just gotta be something they want to do, and nothing more. We had a great victory over the Cards, against a pitcher that has given us alot of trouble in the past. The Mets are starting to be a come from behind time, which shows me they have great heart and character. We have accomplished a tremendous amount in the past 15 games, and yet the last 5 games will determine the way our season goes. We have had some great offense since the last update, with Garrett Hedrick hitting his first home run. We need to remember to play 6, give 110%, and remember team comes first before individual.Hang on boys, these last 5 games are going to be a blast....
