Cats..... This was a really good tournament for us. The best hitting we have done in a tournament all year. We beat some really good teams and lost a heartbreaker on Sunday which caused us to miss the championship game by 1 game. Several coaches commented on how much our team has improved and how competitive we have become this season. This was a great warm-up for Nationals. Here is how we fared (we finished in 3rd place).
  • Friday we beat the Excel 3 - 0
  • Saturday we beat the Chill 9 - 6
  • Saturday we beat the Gateway Storm 14 - 4
  • Sunday we lost a tough one to the Fusion 1 - 0 on an unearned run. imageimage

Great showing at the world series. We came up a little short, but we played really well. See D-Cats News for more information!
Cats... Well, we had a good tournament overall. We won 2 and lost 2, and easily could have won 3. The Krush game was ours to win, but 7 errors hurt us badly! The Chaos loss was just a loss! They took advantage of a bad umpire and we didn't. It wasn't as hard to swallow as the Krush game. But, we must have learned a lot from that first game because we had only 1 error against the Heat and 2 against the Angels. And we won both of those!!! We got some timely hitting, and good pitching. We were hitting the ball much better...even our outs were hard hit balls. We cut our strike outs way down this tournament. Good effort, cats! Below is a breakdown of the games: Game 1 vs. Krush (Marler) Lost 7 - 6 Game 2 vs. Missouri Heat Won 5 - 1 Game 3 vs. Angels (Doyle) Won 5 - 3 Game 4 vs. Chaos (Jost) Lost 9 - 1 image
