Welcome to the CK Girls Hockey Site.

This year is going to be an interesting year with the loss of 7 seniors from last years team and the need to replace them. We will be having "Fall Development Skates" at Wallace Ice Arena on Sundays from 2:00 till 3:00 for September and October.  Development skates are for beginners, ex-figure skaters and experienced players in both Middle Schoolers and Upper Schoolers! If you are interested in playing contact one of the players from last year and come out to skate!

Instruction will be there for beginners as well as experienced players.... but the goal of the skates is to get back on skates and have FUN!!! Check it out!!!

The Alumni won.... led by Catherine LaGrasso, Ari Shane, Katherine Park, Kelsey Goin, Liz Belen, and Kara Holland. Thanks to all who played and watched! We'll do it again next year!

The CK fans could not have asked for a better start. The puck dropped and the Brown, Gard, Chelios line was flying! 23 seconds in Caley got the puck in front and fired it in 1-0. Not to be outdone, the Muchacho, Callis, Schuhrke line went on the attack and Kelsey circled the net stuffing one in for the 2-0 lead! If only the clock would run faster. South is a very good team and went to work. The first period ended 2-2. Second period was all South. They peppered Nana with a game total of 38 shots scoring three more goals but the girls didnt give up! CK outplayed South (10 to 6 shots) in the third wearing the Devils down and it showed as they tired getting a bunch of powerplay opportunities. The girls had been working on face-offs and executed the draw Carolyn to Caley perfectly to get it to 5-3, but it was all we could do and the open-net goal finished us off. Great game girls.... you played a great game and have alot to be proud of! It started off with a scare.... 2 minutes into the game, we got called for the penalty. The girls defended it well and soon after a goal by Anna Brown from Caley and Carolyn put the girls  up 1-0. Late in the first on the powerplay Lady tripped Carolyn and we had a long 5 on 3. Ladywood fought it off valiantly, and as the second penalty expired the puck bounce down the ice, the penalty player came out grabbed the puck and tied the game 1-1 as the first period ended. The second was also well played and close. Anna Brown got her second goal from Julia Bleznak and Jeannie Wonders, but Ladywood responded and the second ended 2-2. Saves and penalties thru the third... but Carolyn and Caley again found Anna Brown who pushed it at the net.... the Ladywood keeper shoved her stick and in the puck went 3-2 (Anna for the Hattrick).  A furious last 3 minutes found the Cranes a 3-2 winner! G P South next on Tuesday at 8:30!
