Dear Vikings Soccer Family,

With the holidays right around the corner, I want to take a moment to thank each family that was able to meet with the coaches.  I know how precious time can be during the ever busy end of year rush. 

I have a few meetings that we still need to complete, but all-in-all the meetings were so exciting.  We spoke with 21 players who have committed to working harder this off-season then they ever have before. 

Hard work in the off-season is a trait of champions.

Our seniors-to-be have accepted the challenge to lead our off-season efforts and are ready to make 2007 one of the best seasons in school history.  Later in January, when one of these guys gives you a call to get into the weight room....THANK THEM FOR CARING FOR YOUR IMPROVEMENT.

Each of the players will be receiving a personalized improvement sheet that if followed will yield great results.  The goal for each person involved with the MHS Boys Soccer program is simple.......continuous improvement.

Continuous improvement is a trait of champions.

As coaches, we have opened the communication doors as wide as they can be opened.  We want the very best for your son. For the program to be successful, we must have a like-minded understanding of where your son fits into the program.  We will work diligently to be on the same page with you.  We must all be working together, headed in the same direction.

Working together, as one, is a trait of champions.

As you can plainly see, I have goals for our program and being a champion is one of them.  As I watched the girls and boys basketball teams this past week, I could not stop looking at the Boys Soccer Conference Banner that hangs in the gymnasium.  If you haven't viewed it, you have NOT missed a thing because it is empty.  In our 28 years of soccer participation, we have won ZERO conference championships, ZERO sectional championships and ZERO regional championships. 

I believe that we have 27 guys returning for 2007 that have a great desire to want to change that banner.  I can't wait to see it happen!!!
