VIKINGS ANNOUNCE NEW HEAD COACH

Posted by Jeffrey Thompson on Mar 28 2012 at 05:00PM PDT

MHS Athletic Director, Tom Hathaway, has announced the selection of Jerry Randolph as the 10th coach to lead the Boys Soccer Program.  Coach Randolph is not new to the program as he served as an assistant coach for 4 years during the 2007-2010 campaigns.

Coach Randolph becomes the first Miamisburg alumni soccer player to comeback and take the top spot.  He played all four years back in the early 80's during the infancy of the program.

"I am so honored to be selected and look forward to working with all of the players and families," shared Randolph.  "I know most of the players in the program, so the transition should be a smooth one.  We have a strong nucleus of returning letterman and a great group of younger players who are ready to step up and fight for minutes."

"I have been working towards this position for about 10 years and will be giving my best effort to continue the recent success.  I am excited to get started, meet with the players and put together our summer & pre-season workouts.  I will continue to utilize the website and our one-call phone system to communicate with everyone.   2012 should be another great season for MHS."

A player/parent meeting is scheduled for Monday, April 30th at 6:00pm in the High School lecture hall.  All players interested in trying out as well as parents are invited.
