Astros

The Astros scored 8 runs in the last 2 innings to make a remarkable comeback vs the Rockies on Tuesday night. Using 6 different pitchers during the game, the bats came alive in the 5th and 6th inning and scored the winning run with 2 outs in the bottom of the 6th. Peter Marshall got a 2 out hit in the last inning to score the tieing run. Karl Pringle choked up on his bat and punched a 2 strike hit to right to score Mark Robichau with the winning run. The Rockies were paced by an outstanding performance by Daniel Rothenburg who had 4 hits and 2 HR's. Cameron Brown played his 1st game of the year and got a single in his only at bat. Matt Scaramuzzi got a key double in the 5th inning to drive in 2 runs and get the game close. Good defensive game at catcher by Joe Silver.

Karl Pringle won his 4th game of the season on Thursday night as the Astros beat the Dodgers 7 - 5. Karl also got 2 hits as well as Patrick Moffitt. George Murphy came in to close a 3 up 3 down last inning. The Astros played errorless ball for the 2nd game in a row this week. Congratulations to all.

David Koller pitched his 1st complete game against the Cardinals this Tuesday night. The game ended in a 3 - 3 tie. Outstanding game by all as the game was in question until the end and the Astros scored the tieing run in the bottom of the 6th. Ross Haggard came in to pitch the bottom of the 6th and struck out the last 3 Astro batters. No errors were made by either team in the game.
