Team 308 KaBOOM/10U Silver Stars

Well played tough game. Thunder Bats played us tough. Similar to the practice game, great D sets this team up to succeed. Kaboom left too many runners stranded on base. Solid pitching and some fantastic plays by Casie and Emily D kept the Thunder threat under control. Base running is improving keep it up. Stay focused and on top Coach Chris/Randy and Frank

KaBOOM clutches up with its second stellar D effort. Pitching (Em and Daphne) has stepped it up and good decision making has shutdown several scoring threats. KaBOOM goes in Black D mode several times, avoids damage by Playerz big bats. Joei/Sierra pitch good game and keep it close. Game actually went 6 innings and required both number 2 pitchers on both teams to pitch 3 innings. Props to Heather and Nicole for their big hits late in the game. Athletic plays by Casie and Toni are shutting down would be base hits up the middle. Alex/Cris/Cassy and Hailee continue to improve and make the opposing team earn their outs. Thanks to the dads for stepping it up and helping with the stations and pre-game prep work, its keeping the girls focused and efficient. Coach Chris/Randy and Frank

Some very strong flyballs thru the OF gaps to drive in runs. (Em, Sami,Daphne,Toni and Ashley). Key plays defensively (Sami snaging a line drive and hard grounder down the line) that cut short a good Raiderette threats. Pitching was on top due to alot of first strike pitches. All 3 pitchers threw strikes and let the D make plays. Great leadoff running and strike zone dicipline by Nic, Cassie, Alex, Cris and Hailee. Casie/Emily D turn a double play!!! Raiderettes made some great relay plays to cut runs down at home and third, kudos to them for hitting the cutoff and making good decisions. Good pitching by Stephanie. Next game against alot of old Coach Chris alumni. Call me, Call me ;-) Thanks to Andrew/Kevin for helping with the pre-game drills. Coach Chris should be back to normal schedules. With Coach Chris gone, Coach Randy and Frank step it up to get Kaboom their first regular season win. Pitching steps up to keep a well coached Hawkettes team from rolling a big inning. Missing Vienna most likely a big blow to the Hawks. Heather makes some key plays at third and the team hitting recovers from an initial slow start. Coach Chris via Sami and Vicki

Kaboom takes its first loss. Well played game on both sides with props going to Bad Girlz stellar pitching. A couple key hits and a few hesitations on Kabooms D were the difference. Solid game by both 2nd basemen. One of the Douglass girls and Antonia flashed the leather and made plays last night.
